Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Miraculous beauty fluid - Review

Hey everyone,

These days I am obsessed with skincare like never before, the reason being I believe that prevention is better than cure. You can delay the signs of aging by using the right products but not erase the ones that have already formed in my opinion (I am not talking Botox and cosmetic surgeries here). I have a combination skin that is slightly troubled with hormonal breakouts, some redness, a few visible pores, some acne scars from before, some fine lines around my eye area, a few dry patches here and there and ofcourse the dull skin. Holy cow! That’s a hell lot of problems than I imagined. Well nothing that makeup can’t hide but I may not always have the time to wear makeup but also I would like to keep it real sometimes and for that I need to help my skin look its best with some conscious efforts. So, today I am reviewing a product that claims to combat a few of my skin problems please read on to see what I think it did.

Product name: Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi face oil

Quantity: 12 ml

Price: RS 1350

Kama Ayurveda says:

A unique 100% Ayurvedic anti-ageing serum that hydrates cleans and illuminates the skin. Miraculous Beauty Fluid is a unique blend of oils and herbs formulated to help skin look young and healthy. In Ayurveda rare, pure saffron is known to help illuminate skin color; extracts of Indian madder and the Banyan tree help smooth fine lines; Vetiver, sandalwood and lotus cool and cleanse while helping to clear blemishes; and liqorice acts as an antiseptic, protects the skin from bacterial and fungal infections.

My experience:

I had picked up this product last year and since then I have used it on and off and there is a reason to that which you will read. This facial oil now known as night serum comes in a 12ml size in a dark glass bottle with a dropper to dispense the liquid. The oil is orange/yellow in colour which strongly smells of essential oils and herbs and I don’t mind that at all because we are talking Ayurveda here and thank god it’s not perfume-y and is all natural.

After cleansing my face I spray the Avene Thermal spring water on my face and take 2 to 3 drops of this oil and pat apply all over including the neck area. I do not massage this into the skin as doing so breaks me out and that is irrespective of any facial oil I may use. I continue to pat it on the skin till it gets slightly absorbed as it takes time to sink in. Its best you apply it an hour before you retire to bed as it can leave stains on your linen.

I have noticed that I woke up to a brighter, radiant and softer skin the next morning. The thing with any skincare product is using it on a daily basis defeats the purpose so, I chose to apply this with a gap of every 3 to 4 days or a night before any special day. This oil though is on slightly heavier side compared to other dry oils on the market but does a great job without breaking me out.

This oil will suit anyone including oily skin however, I would suggest them to use just 1 or 2 drops of it during the winters for better results.

Final thoughts:

I am not sure about its anti-aging properties because I don’t use it on a daily basis but if your skin feels soft and hydrated I am sure it will delay the formation of fine lines. It has helped my skin stay nourished during the winters thus taking care of dry patches and imparting the much needed radiance and glow.  It’s quite pricey as you get just 12ml for RS 1890 and most of the other oils in the market come in a 30ml bottle for almost the same price. So, you can pick your choices. Nevertheless, it is a lovely product to have.

Thanks for reading.
